Erected the Vermont wireless tower.
A new online payment and account portal has been developed and deployed for Logonix customers. This is part of a completely new billing and support tracking system being implemented at Logonix Corporation.
The new wireless service site in Good Hope, IL is complete and operational. Customers are online and enjoying Logonix Wireless Internet Service.
The new portable IP Address pool has been deployed and customers are being actively switched over to the new address space.
Customers are now enjoying additional bandwidth enhancements to the Logonix network via services we have secured from our second upper-tier provider and the implementation of BGP routing and our own autonomous system (AS).
Contracted with a second upper-tier provider to provide additional services to Logonix Corporation. Also secured access to a new larger and portable IP pool. Began planning and preparation for deployment of the new pool and the new services.
Tower was erected in Good Hope, IL and construction of additional the building at the base of the tower for housing connections and equipment has begun.
Continuing to working with neighbors and zoning board as well as cleaning up property. Poured the concrete and installed the tower base in preparation of erecting the Vermont tower.

Property has been selected and purchased for a future tower site for Logonix Wireless Internet Service to be rendered to the Vermont, IL area. It will take some time to clean up the property and work with the Fulton County Zoning Board to secure proper zoning changes to allow the repurposing of this property for erecting a tower.
Logonix Corporation has begun remodeling its office space at the 527 East Grant office location.
Logonix has added HTTPS encryption support to its online web-mail and online email administration applications. This enables secure logon so that passwords are not sent over the Internet in the clear. Users will not see a difference in the applications except that the address bar now indicates HTTPS instead of HTTP and there will be a security icon in the web browser to indicate it is a secure site.
A new tower site for the town of Good Hope has been determined and concrete has been poured. Must wait for this to cure and then in the spring after winter is over additional construction work will begin.

Due to the popularity of our Internet email service and antispam capability (even outside our own network), Logonix Corporation has introduced a new SMTP-Authentication service with encryption support. Logonix customers may now relay email through the Logonix email service from anywhere in the world AND have their server connection encrypted for privacy of messages and passwords as they travel over the Internet between the customer's system and the Logonix mail service. This new service runs on port 587 instead of port 25 because most Internet Service Providers block port 25 as an antispam measure.
The POP3 downloading of email from the Logonix servers to the customer's system also now supports encryption for improved privacy when checking messages.

Effective immediately on August 5, 2008 Logonix Corporation has automatically upgraded the speed of all wireless customers from 768Kbps to 1Mbps at no additional charge. The minimum available wireless speed is now 1Mbps.
There are now two more new and faster speeds available on most wireless connections (2Mbps, and 3Mbps). Once again we are showing our dedication and commitment to quality broadband data services for our region at reasonable and affordable prices.
New power systems and management systems have been installed in the downtown data center.
Logonix Corporation has replaced its combination of home-grown software and open-source anti-spam solutions with a more effective and commercially supported anti-spam appliance and service from Barracuda Networks. This new system is far more effective at blocking unsolicited bulk email and has many more features than the older system it is replacing.

The new tower has been erected at Bridgeway at the site of the tower that collapsed at the end of last October 2006. Our climbers have installed access points onto the new tower and all customers using these access points now have a higher quality wireless Internet signal again.

Logonix Corporation and its partners have been working relentlessly since October 31, 2006 to restore its Highspeed Broadband Internet Services to customers who lost access to the Internet when the Bridgeway Radio Tower Collapsed during the night of October 30. Within 48 hours of the collapse we had 80% of our affected customers operational again--including the new Springview Hills service area. By November 9 Logonix Corporation had restored service to nearly 100% of its affected customers. This was no small feat for a small business.
We would like to thank our customers for their patience and encouraging words during this time. Extra special thanks goes to Computer Masters International, Inc. for their consulanting work, networking expertise, and ability to perform under pressure to help us get back into operation. The Bridgeway Radio Tower has collapsed overnight. At roughly 11:52PM on October 30, 2006, Logonix Corporation found that it had lost communications with its networking equipment that is located at the Bridgeway Tower. Because this tower is used as a customer end-point as well as a relay-point to service other areas in Macomb, many Logonix customers are affected. Read the story and view the pictures.
On October 30, 2006, Logonix Corporation has launched a new wireless service specifically targetting the Springview Hills area North of Spring Lake in Macomb. Up to this point no local Broadband Internet Service Providers could supply service to anyone in this area and they had indicated that this area would not be served due to its remote location outside of their service areas. But now Logonix Corporation has answered the call and is providing a high-speed Internet access as an alternative to dial-up for residents of Springview Hills.
Logonix Corporation has made a substantial investment into a special wireless infrastructure that specifically targets this "forgotten" area.
